I purchased the Carolina log home and it turned out amazing. The company delivered the logs when I was ready and we went up from there. The logs were precision cut so we didn’t have to cut anything. I’m so pleased I’m seriously buying another.

I have been in contact with American Log Homes for years now as we've been planning our project. We've always been impressed with the personable conversation with the Team there in answering our questions, with no pressure. We purchased the Biloxi Cabin! The logs are so beautiful! We chose the "D" log shape. We are in process of building, as we're doing a family project. I recommend this company!

If I build another log home, I will not even bother checking out any other suppliers, but will go straight to American Log Homes. Our experience with them was excellent for the following reasons: 1) The quality of the logs. I hired an Amish crew to build my home. They are very concerned about quality of craftsmanship, and demand high quality materials to help them maintain a high standard of home building. They were very impressed with the quality of the logs as well as how efficiently and quickly the logs went up. You could not slip a credit card between the joints. The window and door cut-outs were precise and consistent. It has been about one year since the logs were set and we are pleasantly surprised at how little shrinkage and settling there has been. It is the middle of winter now and our home is solid, beautiful and draft-free. 2) The load of materials. Our logs were well-packed, numbered and arrived in an easy-to-determine order of construction, each log being clearly numbered and labelled. We not only had enough logs, insulation, lags, pins, dowels, etc, but we had enough left over logs to build an entire 24' inner petition wall out of logs which was a beautiful interior addition to our home. 3) The company and the communication. Michelle was absolutely fantastic to deal with all along the way. Our logs were delayed by approx. two months but not by any fault on the part of American Log homes. It was rather, Hurricane Micheal which after ravaging parts of northwest Florida, came up the east coast and tore right through North Carolina leaving the American Log Homes mill practically underwater. Michelle did her best to get our order to us as fast as she could and was very good with communication. The whole experience working with this company was pleasant and efficient. Again, if we ever build another log home, we will not hesitate to use American Log Homes and would recommend them highly to anyone in the market for a log home. Thank you guys so much. We love our new log home!

Found an ad for them that sounded too good to be true but I called them anyways. I am so glad I did. I received the logs and they are more beautiful than I imagined. Purchased the Biloxi almost 2 years ago. It should have been a red flag when this company was unable to give me any construction company referrals. Took me this long to find a builder that was willing to take the project. Now we are unable to find a structural engineer to approve and stamp the plans. If your county doesn't have strict building codes and/or you plan on putting it together yourself then this may be for you. If not then you're just buying firewood and a headache. I am officially giving up on my dream of owning a log home after wasting 16k and 2 years of my life. Don't make the same mistake. My name is Jason Jones and we have spoken multiple times. My builder has even spoke to you. Speaking to you has not helped in resolving the situation. Now that i am having an actual house built, once construction begins, I will contact you to have the kit shipped so that my builder can unload it while he is on site. You have already stated a refund is not an option so the logs can sit in my yard and rot for all I care.

I absolutely love my log home kit! The process to get my logs was so easy, logs are great quality and everyone is super nice. I cannot wait to move into my dream home.

American Log Homes has been very professional to work with. They were patient with us as we searched for several years after our initial purchase, through a local newspaper ad, to find the right location to build. They sent a pre-designed blueprint, but we needed to rearrange a few things for family life. Some quick adjustments were made, and we had customized our new home! Thank you!

Originally bought the two-story Biloxi 4 years ago, when living in Colorado. Subsequently moved to Oregon AND decided the Carolina would be best for the Oregon lot. I submitted this change order to Michele, who also arranged for the shipping change. The Carolina kit arrived was cut and shaped, and arrived tat my site yesterday. The truck had made it from NC to OR in a few days, and the logs are in perfect condition. We installed the first course to the foundation as per the building diagrams. Would order another, except I’m fresh out of properties to build on! ???? Thanks, Michele, John

A True Log Home Kit that is definitely buildable by even those with little construction knowledge. It took less than 2 weeks from log delivery for my Husband (62), myself (60) and a good friend (65) , with a 35hrs power tractor with forks, to construct the walls ! The corners fit snug, (precise milling), hardware was easy to use and the logs have great knots and grain that gives this log home character! Michelle and all the staff were awesome.

Very professional and Michele was super easy to work with. We were a little skeptical at first because the whole process seemed “too easy” but we are very pleased with American Log Homes and the quality of our logs. My husband, Son and I constructed our cabin ourselves and found it to be easier than we had expected. Mike was great to work with during the changes we made to the original plans and he was always a phone call away to answer all of our questions during construction. We highly recommend ALH!
